Sowing and mowing the lawn
To get an excellent result and to sow the lawn correctly, it is necessary to carry out several measures to assess the area allocated for planting. When designing a lawn, you should take into account the professional subtleties necessary to create a magnificent landscape.
Preparatory work and planting of the lawn
Before sowing, preparatory measures are carried out. First, you need to take a soil sample to analyze its quality in the laboratory, then examine the level of illumination of the area. Based on the results of the soil study, land reclamation is carried out or the top layer (10-15 cm) is removed and transported outside the area. After signing the laboratory report, the fertile soil is prepared for re-filling. At this stage potassium and phosphorus fertilizers are also added for better seed germination.
Further work consists of creating a drainage layer – the cleaned area is covered with a layer of sand (2-3 cm). Then the prepared layer of fertile soil is laid, taking into account that after compaction its height is 8-12 cm.
The next stage is planting the lawn. Seeds are selected depending on the specifics of the area and its intended purpose (shade, sports, universal). A faster way to create an ideal landscape is to plant a rolled lawn. When using this technology, your area will delight with lush greenery immediately after installation.
Lawn cutting and mowing
A beautiful lawn that looks like a velvet green carpet is the result of painstaking work that will become the object of admiring glances. To maintain a great look, your lawn requires constant care. If you cut and water the grass regularly, it will reward you with the lush greenery of well-groomed areas.
Lawn mowing is necessary to create a smooth surface and prevent weeds. For high-quality work, professional equipment is required, with which you can cut the grass evenly and adjust the cutting height.
Moving the lawn is necessary as the grass grows. During warm sunny weather, with good watering and quality soil, it is carried out once a week. If the greenery lacks moisture or the weather is cold, it is advisable to mow it once every two weeks. The optimal height of the lawn is 5 cm. If the grass has grown to 7 cm, it can be mowed. This procedure stimulates the tillering and growth of young shoots. As a result, the lawn is covered with thick, soft grass.
